Shewit K. Weldetensae, M.D.
Dr. Weldetensae attended medical school at the Gondar College of Medical Sciences at Addis Adaba University in Gondar, Ethiopia where she interned in pediatrics and gynecology. After working in internal medicine and surgery at the Gondar College of Medical Sciences in Gondar, Ethiopia, she served as a general practitioner at both the Pawe Regional Hospital in Gojam, Ethiopia, and the Dagim Berhane Clinic in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Dr. Weldetensae later worked as a health care manager of the Triarm Health Care agency in Seattle, Washington. Furthermore, Dr. Weldentensae completed an internship in internal medicine at the Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, West Virginia in addition to a fellowship at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. She also completed her residency in internal medicine at the Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia.
Dr. Weldentensae is associated with a number of institutions, such as the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, and the Southern Medical Association. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Adult Cardiology. She has also conducted research and published a number of materials on cardiology. Furthermore, Dr. Weldentensae has presented her work on multiple occasions at the WV State ACP/ASIM meeting in Charleston, West Virginia, and at the Southern Medical Association Scientific Meeting.
